On September 28, 2018 SaskEnergy submitted an application to the Panel proposing to lower the Commodity Rate that it charges its customers, to take effect April 1, 2019. The application also contains a request to increase the Delivery Service Rate, also effective April 1, 2019. The government has followed the Panel’s recommendation and approved SaskEnergy’s proposed interim reduction in the commodity rate it charges its customers, effective November 1, 2018.
The Panel will conduct a review of the application, including public consultations and a technical review conducted by outside experts. After consideration of the input received from the public and the technical analysis, the Panel will make its recommendations to the government. The rate application and other supporting documents will be posted at the Panel’s website as they become available.
